Week 12: Beginning of Outdoor Cooking Season
My wife had her birthday last week, so I had to make a buttermilk chocolate cake for her. Her birthday kicks off several others in our family, so I will be using this recipe plenty more times in the near future. Also, some fresh local produce is just starting to trickle in. The long winter here is very tough, and I rely heavily on fermented vegetables like sauerkraut and sauces, in addition to our lineup of products. But soon we will start finding early spring microgreens and a few others.
